Dr. Erica Rivera is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the boutique consulting firm, Rivera + Feher Advisory, LLC. She brings deep experience in executive assessment and systemic human capital consulting, working with CEOs and senior management to get talent selection, development and succession planning right, helping companies scale leadership capability, link succession planning to strategy, evaluate and drive culture, and accelerate business performance. Clients include companies ranging in size from high-tech startups to complex global Fortune 500 corporations. Erica is valued for her perspective and counsel in the corporate, M&A, and private equity arenas, with a focus in consumer-oriented product industries of goods, technology, and media. Other industry vertical work includes life sciences and financial and other services sectors. Overall, Erica is known and respected for applying her understanding of human behavior to develop and deploy human capital within an intentional corporate culture.
Prior to Rivera & Associates, Erica was the Managing Director of Human Capital at K1 Private Equity, an investment firm in the B2B software arena. Previously, she held Partner and Senior Principal roles in the leadership consulting firms RHR International and ghSMART, where she delivered executive and board director assessments, development, succession planning, and overall c-suite advisory in order to ensure readiness for executive scale while building both internal and external confidence in leadership. Her responsibilities have also included the management of and delivery of executive assessment and selection for global mergers and acquisitions, setting up quicker post-close transitions with the goal of minimizing operational setbacks. Additionally, within RHR, Erica was instrumental in the build out of the private equity practice and the creation and implementation of the new consultant onboarding and training program.
Before completing her doctorate in psychology, Erica held positions in private and public companies in roles that included marketing and client services for an investment consulting firm as well as marketing and international product distribution for the film division of a major entertainment company.
Erica has lived in Asia and traveled extensively throughout the globe. She graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor’s degree in international business. She holds a master’s degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in California, and both a master’s and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University in New York. Erica serves on the board of Sound Bodies for Life, a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to educating families and children in underserved communities about nutrition, food, and healthy habits. She is also a Board Member of Shared Harvest Fund | myCovidMD, an organization working to improve social equity in the areas of education and healthcare
for the underserved.
