EdTech leaders Learning Pool become Patron members of Learnovate
The Learnovate Centre is delighted to announce Learning Pool as a new Patron Member of the global research and innovation centre in learning technologies.
Learnovate, an industry-led technology centre funded by Enterprise Ireland, provides thought leadership to the world’s learning and development community on the innovative use of learning technology. Based at Trinity College Dublin, it empowers organisations through the exploration and application of transformative technology solutions.
Learning Pool is the latest company to join Learnovate’s list of Patrons. This is the highest form of Learnovate membership and Patron members sit on the organisation’s Thought Leaders’ Circle and participate in its Research Working Groups.
Learning Pool was founded in Derry in 2006 by Paul McElvaney to bring online learning into organisations in a collaborative way. It now has 260 employees across seven offices in the UK and the US.
Learning Pool is a full-service e-learning provider, offering a range of courses, tools and content creation to over 1,100 organisations and 5.1 million learners worldwide. It delivers a highly customised learning experience, combining their expertise in personalised learning, gamification, and AI-driven performance.
“We are delighted to welcome such a forward-thinking company as Learning Pool as a Patron member of Learnovate and look forward to developing a fruitful and lasting relationship with this progressive company. Patron membership of Learnovate allows companies to become part of a global community of leaders in learning and technology driving innovation in learning and education for maximum impact. Together we are shaping the direction of learning and influencing policy for future generations with our community of expert researchers, experienced practitioners and key policymakers.”
Nessa McEniff, Learnovate Centre Director
“The partnership with Learnovate for Learning Pool is ideal, not only because both are out of Ireland, but it provides unbiased insight, perspective, and research in regard to innovation.
There is the opportunity to focus on agenda items that may speed up the launching of new learning solutions as well as the discovery of ‘what not to do next!’ The Learnovate Centre R&D group strengthens any learning vendor’s position in the marketplace by providing a team of R&D scientists for the sake of research. Learnovate is one of the only places that puts education together – be that corporate, K-12, or higher education – and in many places across the world, that bridge is missing.”
Sharon Claffey Kaliouby, Learning Pool
